Hardstand for DEPMEDS Warehouse

The hardstand is a 200,000 square foot storage pad for over 1300 deployable medical units. The project showcased the first use of a new resin-modified paving technology (RMP) in the intermountain region. RMP consists of an open-graded asphalt paving course impregnated with a resinous cement-slurry, and provides strength and durability in a 4” composite section equivalent to 16” thick Portland cement concrete paving. Related construction activities included asphalt paving, earthwork, storm drainage, and site lighting. HHI Corporation provided quality control and assisted with project management for Consolidated Paving & Concrete, prime contractor on the project.
