Repair Fire Protection Bldg 222

This project involves the renovation of Building 222, used as a fuel dock for F16’s and F35’s, at Hill Air Force Base. New fire-suppression systems (both wet and foam) were installed, as well as new infra-red heaters. The team bore new gas lines across the approach to building 270, and trenched the rest of the way to building 272.

F-22 Paint Booth

HHI partnered with Big D Construction and Clemco Industries to install this blast room in Hill Air Force Base's F-22 Heavy Maintenance Facility.

Fuel Ventilation Stands

HHI fabricated and installed these fuel ventilation stands and connected them to the ECMS monitoring system.

C17 Work Stands

HHI designed, fabricated, and installed these two C-17 aircraft maintenance platforms for McChord AFB, WA. The installation was particularly challenging, as the stands had to be assembled at HHI's shop in Kaysville, Utah, shipped to McChord AFB, and installed in one piece. Additionally, HHI redesigned the access ladder for better safety.

C-130 Gen II Work Stands Bldg 225

HHI designed, fabricated, manufactured, and installed C·130 Maintenance Stands for Hill AFB building 225.

JLENS Electric Meters

Nakaya Construction installed new electric meters for the JLENS project at the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR).  The new meters allow for improved data collection, including the ability to be read remotely.

IPE Mannequin

Teamed with Midwest Research Institute, HHI is currently designing and constructing a testing facility for hazardous environments.

Whole System Live Agent Test (WSLAT) Chamber

This project encompasses the design, construction, assembly, and installation of the first chamber capable of performing a whole system test for the Joint Biological Point Detection System.

Joint Ambient BreezeTunnel

Built at the Dugway Proving Ground, this project included equipment installation, including air compressor, air lines, flexible duct, ventilation system, filtration system, swing gate installation, pressure sensors, hoists and a remote weather station. Work also included electrical components, flood lights, separate power supplies to roof winches, six separate main control panels, and wiring to all mechanical equipment and dissemination test equipment.

Active Standoff Chamber

This project was the construction of a large scale test chamber for highly-classified, proprietary military use. HHI Corporation’s work included site and utility improvements, and the design and installation of a large chamber inside an existing building.

C-130 Work Stands

HHI designed, fabricated, manufactured, and installed two C·130 Maintenance Stands for Hill Air Force Base building 680 (Docks E2 and E3).

  • Dugway Water Tank - This Design-Build project provided Dugway Proving Ground with a 250,000 gallon elevated steel water tank, 300 GPM water well, and pump house with water treatment and process controls.
  • PMB Robot Blast Booth - This project covered the engineering, fabrication, installation and checkout efforts of a Plastic Media Blasting system for de-painting off-airframe components. The blast system was designed in coordination with Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) to integrate a robotic depaint system into the PMB booth.
