Specialized Equipment

Joint Ambient BreezeTunnel

Built at the Dugway Proving Ground, this project included equipment installation, including air compressor, air lines, flexible duct, ventilation system, filtration system, swing gate installation, pressure sensors, hoists and a remote weather station. Work also included electrical components, flood lights, separate power supplies to roof winches, six separate main control panels, and wiring to all mechanical equipment and dissemination test equipment.

Active Standoff Chamber

This project was the construction of a large scale test chamber for highly-classified, proprietary military use. HHI Corporation’s work included site and utility improvements, and the design and installation of a large chamber inside an existing building.

C-130 Work Stands

HHI designed, fabricated, manufactured, and installed two C·130 Maintenance Stands for Hill AFB building 680 (Docks E2 and E3).

PMB Robot Blast Booth

This project covered the engineering, fabrication, installation and checkout efforts of a Plastic Media Blasting system for de-painting off-airframe components. The blast system was designed in coordination with Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) to integrate a robotic depaint system into the PMB booth.

Hill AFB Building 225 Transformation

This project consisted of seven separate task orders to perform renovations and additions to Hill Air Force Base's C-130 Supply Cells of Bldg 225. The project included demolition work, modification and upgrading of office and warehousing areas, construction and installation of two large bridge cranes, and improvements to shop and work areas. All project tasks, including all site improvements, electrical and mechanical work were preformed around ongoing operations, without a building shutdown.

Dugway Water Tank

This Design-Build project provided Dugway Proving Ground with a 250,000 gallon elevated steel water tank, concrete-filled steel pipe pile foundations, 300 GPM water well, pump house with water treatment and process controls, overhead power distribution. Owner requested changes included relocation of project site due to groundwater contamination. Additional work included re-surveying the project site, providing an additional 1,000 LF of overhead power line, and costs associated with accelerating geotechnical investigation and water quality analysis activities.
